Anyone familiar with the ever-increasing elegance and sophistication of Texas will not be surprised to find some of  the best fine dining restaurants in the country in the Dallas and Houston metropolitan areas.  Perhaps the best example today is The Inn at Dos Brisas, the Mobil 5-star restaurant just outside of Houston.  In Dallas, many have long regarded The Mansion on Turtle Creek to be the premier restaurant there.  After serving primarily French cuisine for several years, the restaurant has recently switched to a New American menu.  And for Southwest cuisine, no other restaurant showcases this style of American cooking more than the restaurant of Chef Stephan Pyles.
